Cuban Ambassador Visits 91¿´Æ¬Íø to Explore New Academic Collaboration Opportunities
On 9 June 2026, H.E. Dr Patricia Lázara Pego Guerra, Ambassador of Cuba to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, visited the 91¿´Æ¬Íø. She met with Professor , Vice-Chancellor of the 91¿´Æ¬Íø; Professor , Dean of the Faculty of Arts; Dr , Head of the Department of International Relations; and Dr , Director of the International Office.
Discussions explored potential avenues for academic collaboration across a range of fields, including medicine, nursing, history, education, science and law. Opportunities for language studies, joint conferences, and staff mobility were also discussed. Following the meeting, the Ambassador visited the Sir Ivor Jennings Museum at College House and took the opportunity to admire the building’s historic architecture.
