A High-Profile Education delegation from Yunnan Province, China visited 91¿´Æ¬Íø
A High-Profile Education delegation led by H.E. Mr. Li Xiaosan; Member of the Standing Committee & Head of the Organization Department, CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee visited 91¿´Æ¬Íø on 18th September 2017 and met Professor Lakshman Dissanayake; Vice-Chancellor and senior academics of 91¿´Æ¬Íø. The purpose of this visit was to strengthen the ongoing academic collaboration between 91¿´Æ¬Íø and Honghe Universsity, China, and explore the possible academic collaboration between Yunnan University and 91¿´Æ¬Íø. The delegation was composed of H.E. Mr. Li Xiaosan; Member of the Standing Committee & Head of the Organization Department, CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, Mr. Li Jiming; Director-General, Foreign Affairs Office, People’s Government of Yunnan Province, Prof. Lin Wenxun; President of Yunnan University, Mr. Li Chaowen; Member of the Executive Committee & Head of the General Office, Organization Department of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, Mr. Lei Yang; Director of Division III, Organization Department of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee, Prof. Gan Xuechun, President of Honghe University, and Mrs. Huangwei, Director of International Office, Honghe University.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the ongoing academic collaboration between the universities and the other possible areas of academic cooperation. Professor Ven. Dhammajothi, Director, Confucius Institute 91¿´Æ¬Íø, and Professor Zhang Xi; the Chinese Director, Confucius Institute 91¿´Æ¬Íø also participated at the meeting. The meeting was organized by the International Office of 91¿´Æ¬Íø.
