Launch of Sinhala Textbook edited by Senior Professor Sandagomi Coperahewa
The launching ceremony of the Sinhala textbook titled 犇劇蹢犒蹡萎犇材矯犇園矯 犒犒 犒犒蹡犒犒犒犇犒犇材蹢: 犒犒犇犒犇萎蹡園犇, 犇犒犇死狂犒犒犇 犒犒 犇伍境犒犒蹡 (Language Study and Linguistics: Theories, Methodologies, and Ideologies), edited by Senior Professor (Chair) of the Department of Sinhala, Faculty of Arts, was held on August 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the New Arts Theatre. Ven. Thirikunamale Ananda Maha Thero chaired the event, while the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor , and Rev. Dr. Sylvester Ranasinghe, Rector of Aquinas College of Higher Studies, graced the occasion as special guests
A large audience attended, comprising members of the Maha Sangha, Council members, university staff members, linguists, teachers, and university students. Professor (Retired) , Mr Srinath Ganewatta, and Dr delivered speeches based on the new publication.
