It was a discussion of David Scott’s new book,Omens of Adversity: Tragedy, Time, Memory, Justice byThushara Hewage (Assistant Professor of Anthropologyat the University of Ottawa) andAhilan Kadirgamar (PhD candidate at the Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY) anda member oftheCollective for Economic Democratization in Sri Lanka).. The book is centered on the collapse of the Grenada Revolution (1979-1983) and engagement with issues of political action, memory and transitional justice.
