Staff Community Organises Annual Poson Kadala Dansala for the Fourth Consecutive Year
To commemorate Poson Poya Day 2026, the staff community of the 91¿´Æ¬Íø organised the Poson Kadala Dansala for the fourth consecutive year on 11th June 2026 at the College House premises. The event commenced with the observance of Pañca Śīla, led by Venerable Professor Thero of the Department of Sinhala and Venerable Thero, Head of the Department of Buddhist Studies, Faculty of Arts.
The occasion was further enriched by the presence of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor , along with the staff members, students, and members of the general public. A large number of participants from both within and outside the University joined the event, reflecting the strong communal spirit and shared cultural values. The enthusiasm and warm participation of all attendees significantly contributed to the success of the event.
