The Career Guidance Day
The Career Guidance Unit of the Faculty of Science, 91心頭利, organized the 1st Career Guidance Day on 30th of May 2018 at the Main Library Auditorium, 91心頭利. The idea behind organizing this event is to acknowledge the tremendous support extended by academic staff, Faculty of Science, by way of functioning as a Director, Secretory, Chairperson or Committee Member of Career Guidance Unit (CGU).
, the Vice Chancellor, 91心頭利, graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Mr. Nandhika Buddipala, Chief Finance Officer, Commercial Bank of Ceylon and Mr. Johann Munaweera, General Manager, Human Resources and Administration MAS KREEDA were participated as guest speakers and delivered their speeches on Job oriented Education in Sri Lanka and Youth and Leadership themes respectively. The Career Guidance Unit Co-founders, advisors, academic mentors, CGU committee members and course chairpersons who lend a hand, over the past 6 years were appreciated. Representatives from reputed private and public companies were also attended and shared their views on Career Development. The immense guidance and support of the current co-directors of the CGU, Prof. Deepthi Wickramasinghe and Dr. Chamari Hettiarachchi was indispensable in steering this event.
